21-year-old Annette was asked to be a bridesmaid at her big sister’s wedding. Annette has suffered acne break outs since her school days and still had scarring and pigmentation damage on her face. Having a persistent spotty face made her reluctant to accept the invitation to be a bridesmaid as she was worried about the wedding photo’s and letting her sister down. She told us her story;
“Years of spots had meant that I had lost my confidence and I plastered make-up on to cover them up. Then my Mum told me about a new treatment called the eMatrix® that uses radio waves to tighten and smooth the skin. Mum was having this procedure to combat the effects of ageing and rejuvenate her own skin. She told me that she had read that eMatrix® is also used for repairing skin which has been damaged by acne scarring and I should find out more…
I decided to attend Mum’s next treatment and to speak to the nurse specialist Marea Brennan Thorns. Marea answered all my questions and put my mind at rest. I chose to have three treatments spread over several weeks a few months before the wedding. I can’t tell you how much better my skin is…its like a miracle. I much more confident now, even at the hen party, people were actually complementing me on my skin; telling me what a beautiful complexion I have! Can you believe that? Not just saying my skin had improved, but that I have good skin!”
How eMatrix works
The eMatrix system’s ergonomic applicator delivers bipolar radio frequency energy via a matrix of 64 electrodes in the disposable applicator tip. The RF energy delivers fractional deep dermal heat energy in the region of the electrode matrix to induce skin injury. The skin then elicits a natural wound healing response. Less affected tissue surrounding the matrix points may be stimulated by heat which helps accelerate the healing process, leading to tighter, rejuvenated appearance of the skin.
After treatment with the eMatrix system for Sublative Rejuvenation, most patients showed improvement in facial parameters such as skin brightness (83%) and skin smoothness/wrinkle reduction (90%)1.

Some of our existing clients have already experienced fantastic results, sharing their satisfaction and extra confidence is very rewarding for us all.” says Marea.
