YoungBlood Mineral makeup now at Qutis in Abingdon & Witney

Happy New Year to all!

Travelling down to Cornwall last month and flicking through NOW magazine, throughout the long journey, I was pleased to read that the beautiful Jessica Alba, Film Actress and model has been a long-time Youngblood fan and that she uses the products for her daily make up regime.

Jessica Alba instagram picture of youngbloodJessica stated on Instagram that she loved the Youngblood Blackout Mascara and shared with us a snapshot of her favourite products whilst on set of her upcoming film ‘How To Make Love Like an Englishman.’ Can you spot the Youngblood Mineral Primer, Youngblood Foundation and Youngblood Concealer in her photo? Other Celebrity Youngblood fans include Gwyneth Paltro, who adores the Liquid Mineral Primer and Jennifer Anniston who is also a big fan of Youngblood's Primer and the Mineral foundations. To play the role of Jack Sparrow, Johnny Depp used Youngblood’s Eye Liner Pencil (and doesn’t he look just gorgeous with it!)

Pauline Youngblood Founder of Youngblood

During her career as a medical aesthetician, Pauline was in daily contact with patients who had severely traumatised skin from harsh laser treatments, acne, rosacea and cosmetic surgeries. Such patients often take up to six months before their skin returns to normal, and Pauline simply was not satisfied with the makeup options available. Pauline began working with chemists to develop a suitable option — a product that would cover raw, inflamed or discoloured skin, while allowing it to breathe and heal. This led to her initial work with natural mineral cosmetics. "The concept of mineral makeup was great, but the quality was missing," Pauline says. "The colours weren't realistic; they were too pink or orange, and they looked artificial." She began formulating her first loose mineral foundation, which provided excellent coverage and a natural appearance without clogging the skin. Pauline's patients experienced such dramatic success with her new formula that they continued using it long after their skin had healed. Before long, patients and friends convinced her to make this natural mineral foundation commercially available, and in 1996 Pauline founded Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Pauline's compassion led her to develop her first products in a medical setting. Today, her company carries on her original values: a passion for providing the healthiest, highest quality products, while empowering women to look and feel their best.
