How to Remove Pigmentation and Red Veins: Qutis Solution

At Qutis we frequently consult patients with concerns about red veins, pigmentation, blemishes and uneven skin tone. The majority of our patients are not aware that there is a treatment available to remove their unwanted skin marks.

The most common and successful treatment for these skin problems is called skin rejuvenation. Skin rejuvenation is done through a course of intense pulse light (IPL) treatments. IPL is a non invasive light based treatment that targets damaged or dead skin cells and vessels within the dermis of the skin. The light is absorbed by the pigment in either the sun spots or the haemoglobin (blood) in the red veins turning into heat. This controlled heat then causes the red veins to coagulate (as seen in the image below) before the body’s immune system absorbs the damaged veins to leave a clear complexion.

IPL is suitable for red veins, pigmentation, rosacea, acne, port wine stains, large pores and uneven skin tones, to name a few. Typically a course of 3-5 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart is required. As IPL is attracted to pigment you can not have a sun tan or be wearing fake tan to be treated making this the perfect treatment to have during the winter months!
