Dermal fillers and lip filler can help to replace the volume we lose over time, leaving us looking refreshed, softer, smoother and more youthful.
As we grow older, the hyaluronic acid we once produced starts to diminish. Our skin becomes dry and facial volume decreases. Gravity pulls the skin down, resulting in folds and sagging.
Full lips are a key attribute of a youthful face.
Dermal fillers are now very widely used in facial aesthetics. Choosing the right practitioner and the right filler is very important.
Collagen and our natural hyaluronic acid is broken down as we age. Dermal filler, carefully injected into the right facial area can reduce the effect of wrinkles and aging and can restore a more youthful appearance.
We are experienced in using dermal fillers to treat a wide range of conditions, such as; Cheek volume, Nose to Mouth lines, Forehead Lines, Frown Furrows, Lip volume, Lip definition, Acne scarring, Crows Feet, Nose correction and improve symmetry.
Dermal and lip fillers usually last 6 to 12 months, some newer ones may last slightly longer. Compared to a surgical facial lift, many customers prefer this option as the same result can be achieved without an operation and the associated recovery time.
Dermal fillers and lip fillers are becoming increasingly sophisticated. In experienced
Dermal fillers, also known as injectable implants, soft tissue fillers, or wrinkle fillers are used to create a smoother and fuller appearance in the face. This includes nasolabial folds, cheeks and lips and for increasing the volume of the back of the hand. They work by filling in the area under the skin.
You may find you need more than one injection to get the most desirable effect. Results depend on the health of your skin, the skill of your Nurse Practitioner and amount and type of filler used.
Wrinkle fillers are temporary because they are eventually absorbed by the body. Some customers may need more than one injection to achieve the wrinkle-smoothing effect. The effect lasts for about 12 months or longer. You may download a booklet with more information on how to Refresh your Look with Dermal Fillers.
The process starts with a full face to face consultation with you Nurse Practitioner. You can discuss which product is right for you based on the outcome you wish to achieve.
These are the most commonly asked questions, including the most popular types of dermal filler;
We ask you to come 30 minutes early for your dermal filler appointment so we can apply a facial anaesthetic or numbing cream to the treatment areas. You can enjoy a coffee and read a magazine while the cream takes effect. We also use very fine "invisible" needles for some treatments. Inevitably there is some moderate discomfort but our patients very rarely describe treatment as painful.
Over time dermal fillers and lip fillers are gradually reabsorbed naturally by your body. How quickly this occurs depends on your body, the injection location and the type of filler used.
