Marea from Qutis Wins Aesthetic Nurse of Year Award

Qutis Nurse Director and co-owner wins the Aesthetic Nurse of the Year at the British Journal of Nursing Awards Dinner on Friday night. Marea was presented with the award by Esther Rantzen and made a short speech thanking all her colleagues at Qutis and MBNS.

Marea accepted the award thanking all the staff and patients who had nominated her, particularly the teams at Qutis and MBNS clinics. Marea went on to say; "the field of aesthetic medicine is full of extraordinary nurse entrepreneurs. Many of whom have stuck with the vision that nurses can be leaders and business owners and still keep patients at the heart of all they do" Marea is a co-founder of MBNS and Qutis and began practising aesthetic treatments over 15 years ago. She was a former chair of the aesthetic nurse forum and contributed to the training and development now used across the whole of the industry.

Training

We are very pleased to have Marea working with us in Qutis, training staff and treating customers at all three of our clinics in Witney, Thame and Abingdon. Oxford has a long tradition of attracting the best in their field and we believe this applies outside of the university too. Marea has trained many nurses in injection technique and dermal filler treatments and is well respected across the industry. She was one of the first, along with Stephanie Green to train and offer other aesthetic treatments such as laser hair removal, dermal fillers and sclerotherapy.
