Dermal Fillers

At Qutis, we have been pioneers in advanced techniques of injectable dermal fillers for over 20 years. Our lead Nurse and founder Marea is part of the Allergan team who train medical and nurse practitioners in specialist dermal filler injections.

Dermal fillers and lip filler can help to replace the volume we lose over time, leaving us looking refreshed, softer, smoother and more youthful.

As we grow older, the hyaluronic acid we once produced starts to diminish. Our skin becomes dry and facial volume decreases. Gravity pulls the skin down, resulting in folds and sagging.

Full lips are a key attribute of a youthful face. Lips often lose volume as we age. In some cases, your lips may be asymmetrical or out of balance. In all these cases the right dermal filler can be very effective and subtle.

Benefits

RESTORING LOST VOLUME WITH A RANGE OF TREATMENTS

Collagen and our natural hyaluronic acid are broken down as we age. Dermal filler, carefully injected into the right facial area can reduce the effect of wrinkles and ageing and can restore a more youthful appearance. We are experienced in using dermal fillers to treat a wide range of conditions, such as; Cheek volume, Nose to Mouth lines, Forehead Lines, Frown Furrows, Lip volume, Lip definition, Acne scarring, Crows Feet, Nose correction and improve symmetry.

NO RECOVERY TIME

Dermal and lip fillers usually last 6 to 12 months, some newer ones may last slightly longer. Compared to a surgical face lift, many customers prefer this option as the same result can be achieved without an operation and the associated recovery time.

FINE-TUNING

Dermal fillers and lip fillers are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Experienced nurse practitioners at Qutis can create very gentle and subtle effects. Subsequent treatments can be used to fine-tune and enhance facial symmetry as well as gradually reduce wrinkles.

How Does It Work

Dermal fillers, also known as injectable implants, soft tissue fillers, or wrinkle fillers are used to create a smoother and fuller appearance in the face. This includes nasolabial folds, cheeks and lips and for increasing the volume of the back of the hand. They work by filling in the area under the skin.

You may find you need more than one injection to get the most desirable effect. Results depend on the health of your skin, the skill of your Nurse Practitioner and the amount and type of filler used.

Wrinkle fillers are temporary because they are eventually absorbed by the body. Some customers may need more than one injection to achieve the wrinkle-smoothing effect. The effect lasts for about 12 months or longer. You may download a booklet with more information on how to Refresh your Look with Dermal Fillers.

The process starts with a full face-to-face consultation with your Nurse Practitioner. You can discuss which product is right for you based on the outcome you wish to achieve.

FAQ's

Are Dermal and Lip Filler Treatments painful?

We ask you to come 30 minutes early for your dermal filler appointment so we can apply a facial anaesthetic or numbing cream to the treatment areas. You can enjoy a coffee and read a magazine while the cream takes effect. We also use very fine "invisible" needles for some treatments. Inevitably there is some moderate discomfort but our patients very rarely describe the treatment as painful.

What happens to the filler after it is injected?

Over time dermal fillers and lip fillers are gradually reabsorbed naturally by your body. How quickly this occurs depends on your body, the injection location and the type of filler used.

What is Perlane?

Perlane® is a range of Hyaluronic Acid-based dermal filler products, which safely and effectively reduce lines, folds and wrinkles, contours and create volume and improve skin appearance. They are used to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nose to mouth folds) or the darker depressions or circles that appear under your eyes (tear troughs). They can hydrate as well as adding volume to your skin without the need for more invasive surgery.

What is TEOSYAL️® Filler?

TEOSYAL️® is a range of injectable dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid designed to treat wrinkles, and at Qutis we use them on specific areas such as under the eyes in an area called The Tear Trough. We particularly like Teosyal Redensity 2 as it attracts less tissue swelling and our patients feel pleased at how quickly their treatments settle down. In addition, we use Teosyal RHA 4 and 3 which helps us to replace lost volume to the face and also improves skin quality. WE often use the Teosyal range in the Qutis Non-Surgical Face Lift.
